Sage Z-Axis Fly Rods

We went back to the drawing board to create the incredible new Z-Axis Series 
Fast Action Rods. By improving the entire rod-building process, we created a rod
that's significantly lighter, stronger and easier to cast for anglers of all skill levels. 
The Z-Axis offers an entirely new level of fishability with unprecedented line feel,
response and performance. But don't take our word for it-visit a local fly shop and

We created the Technical Casting Rod (TCR) Series rods to push the boundaries of 
fast-action tapers and high line speed, while maintaining the all-important

Sage ZXL Fly Rods 

The new ZXL rods are significantly lighter, stronger and easier to cast for 
everyone who enjoys the relaxed casting rhythm of a smooth progressive taper.
Through the miracle of our G5 process, we were able to remove every gram of
unnecessary material from each blank and replace traditional glass hoop fibers
with lighter, more responsive graphite.

Sage Xi2 4-piece Fly Rods 

No matter which saltwater challenges you face-from bonefish to billfish-Xi2 Series
rods let you concentrate on the fish instead of your casting. Built with our
innovative Generation 5 (G5) Technology, Xi2 rods feel lighter and livelier than 
other saltwater rods. The Modulus Positioning System (MPS) that we developed
for these rods provides a startling level of "line feel" throughout the casting
stroke. This enhanced ability to feel the rod load allows you to apply power more

Sage BASS Fly Rods - Please call the shop (800) 637-6912

After working with a small, tight-lipped group of serious bass anglers, we’ve developed
two new rods that can drop a hair frog or an air-light diver with pinpoint accuracy and
hardly a ripple on the water. From a fly fishing perspective, we’re talking about effortlessly
pushing big, wind-resistant bugs into tight quarters. Available in two models, Smallmouth
and Largemouth, both rods measure 7'11", which slides them just under the strict bass
tournament rules for rod length. Additionally, both rods are sold with custom bass taper
flylines and a travel case for protection.

When used outside the bass fishing world, we strongly recommend them for probing the
mangroves or throwing huge flies for pike and muskies.

As a company with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve been at the forefront of the
two-handed revolution since the beginning. And with interest in two-handed rods to growing
steadily in fisheries around the world, we’re proud to offer a wide selection of innovative
two-handed fly rods.

Sage has traditionally listed these specialized rods as their own series within our line, but in
an effort to make it easier for our customers to understand the characteristics of these rods
and their actions, we have, over time, begun to include these rods within other line in the Sage
family.

Currently, we have two-handed rods available in the following lines: Z-Axis, TCR, VT2 and FLi.

 

Sage VT2 Fly Rods

Our VT2 Series rods are designed for maximum versatility, smooth performance and
great value. Throughout the entire line, we've created a taper and action that best fits
each specific line weight. VT2 Series rods provide a light, sensitive feel and an
incredibly smooth power curve for faster line speed and easier casting. They also
feature a gorgeous "blue ribbon" blue finish, titanium anodized aluminum reel seat
hardware and British-made, hard chrome-plated guides.
