Morgan Medove

Morgan grew up in Mammoth Lakes where at an early age he enjoyed exploring the Eastern Sierra. He wanted to pursue his passion for the outdoors after high school and went on to study Sustainable Tourism Management and Outdoor Recreation at SDSU. During the winter Morgan is an Elite Snowboard Coach for the Mammoth Snowboard Team where he has been lucky enough to work with Olympic caliber athletes. Morgan enjoys winter fishing on the Lower Owens and catching a hatch with rising fish. In the winter months Morgan also enjoys chasing giant Lahontan Cutthroat trout at famous Pyramid Lake, NV. Morgan is an avid fly tier who is passionate about finding ways to make patterns fish better, quicker to tie and create that “secret fly.” In the summer you can find Morgan chasing trout of all types with varying techniques from size 22 dry flies, to hoppers and 6-inch long streamers. You can also find him chasing south swell and salt-water fish in the Pacific Ocean. Morgan enjoys teaching clients new techniques to catch more fish and how to take care of our fisheries so that we can enjoy fishing for years to come. He especially enjoys teaching beginners and seeing the spark in his client’s eyes when they catch their first fish. From seasoned fly anglers to the first time beginner Morgan enjoys unlocking the mysteries of fly fishing, guiding to beautiful parts of the Eastern Sierra and of course catching fish.
